Description
The DIMET EMGS series electromagnets are designed for handling sheet steel in bundles. It is a line of lightweight and low-power magnets with a deep magnetic field, which are developed in order to perform a specific function. They are not designed to provide a high load carrying capacity, and that explains their low weight and low power consumption. As their application is to handle individual sheets of steel, the electromagnets are designed to create a surface magnetic field. Generally, several electromagnets mounted on a spreader beam are used to transport the sheet. This avoids bending, deformation and tearing of the load.
The use of these electromagnets allows reducing the weight of equipment and power consumption. There are also versions for underwater operation and a heat-resistant type for handling loads in environments with temperatures up to 650°C.

Welded housing
The rugged welded special housing has been developed for use in difficult operating environments and is provided with reinforced shielding for shock protection of the double terminal boxes and a large heat transfer surface.

Coil material
The high quality wire with improved insulation greatly reduces the risk of interturn short-circuit. The use of this type of coil material makes the electromagnet more reliable and particularly easy to repair, as only the coil needs to be rewound in the event of failure.

Heat-insulating seal.
Maintains optimum coil temperature during operation of the electromagnet on loads up to 650° С and ensures the stable load-carrying capacity.

High-quality casting compound.
Prevents electrical breakdown between coil wire and housing and reduces the electromagnet coil heating.

Reinforced armor plate
Reliable protection of the coil, much longer service life of the electromagnet. The pressure bars of the electromagnets are made of 09G2S steel which is characterized by increased strength and wear resistance.
